RIO 2016: NIGERIA STROLL INTO THE SEMI-FINALS AFTER EASY WIN OVER DENMARK

The Dream team are into the semi finals of the football event of the Rio Olympics after a comprehensive win over Denmark.
Captain and one of the overage players, Mikel Obi scored the opening goal on 16 minutes after a wonderful run down the left of the Danish defence by Imoh Ezekiel who laid the ball on a plate for the Chelsea midfielder.

Aminu Umar sealed the win in the second half with a fine header at the near post off a Mikel corner kick.
The Danish team huffed and puffed but struggled to create any clear chances. The Nigerian could have won by more if they had converted any of their gilt-edged chances.
Despite all the troubles the Nigerian team had to even get to Brazil, arriving in the South American country seven hours before the first round match, they represent no doubt the best chance of the country to win a medal at the Olympics.
The Dream Team will now play European team, Germany in the semi finals for a chance to play for the football gold medal.
