Last night’s result wasn’t good for Spanish champions Barcelona and their supporters as they suffered another loss without Lionel Messi.
Defender, Gerard Pique scored twice but the Catalan giants lost 4-3 away to Celta Vigo on Sunday, October 2 in their La Liga clash.
Barça are now fourth on the standings led by Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid with 15 points each, after seven games played.
Lionel Messi was expected to miss three games, including trips to Sporting Gijon, Borussia Monchengladbach and Celta Vigo after picking up a groin strain against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday, September 21.
It’s 12 years since Messi was promoted to Barca’s first team as a 17-year-old from the club’s youth academy, La Masia. The Argentine has played alongside some of the greatest footballers in the world during his time there.
Presently, odds and viewership reduce whenever Messi is ruled out of a match that still boasts Luis Suarez, Neymar and Andres Iniesta and it’s not impressive.
Do you think Barcelona survive without Lionel Messi?
