Nigerian act and Sony Music signee, Ayo Jay had chat with New York radio legend Angie Martinez.
Their chat touched on different subjects, one of which was his nationality.
Angie Martinez assumed he was from London but Ayo quickly corrected her saying, ‘No no no… I was born in London but I’m Nigerian… I lived in Nigeria, my parents are Nigerians… I just happened to be born in London by mistake…’
They went on to talk about his career, working with Chris Brown and other related stuff. He would go on to correct Angie’s pronunciation of his name.
