MOSES, MIKEL SCORE AS NIGERIA DEFEAT ALGERIA IN AKWA IBOM


The Nigerian national team have been impressive under the supervision of new coach, Gernot Rohr.

The Super Eagles defeated Algeria 2-0 in their Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification today Saturday, November 12.


Chelsea FC duo Victor Moses and Obi Mikel scored to put Nigeria in the  lead before the end of the first half at Godswill Akpabio International stadium, Uyo in south-south of the country.

The Algerians tried to make a comeback with Nabil Bentaleb’s 67th minute strike, but Moses ended their dream of getting a draw, with his stoppage time goal.

Super Eagles now lead Group B with six points after defeating Zambia and Algeria. They will be playing Cameroon in their next game as they move closer to getting the World Cup ticket.
