Davido is most likely getting high scores in his fans’ books right now.
The highly anticipated #MTVMAMA 2016 took place last night at the Ticket Pro Dome in Johannesburg, South Africa. While many African and some international stars flew in for the sixth edition of the award show, Davido was right here in Nigeria spending time with his 1-year-old daughter, Imade.
The singer shared a video of himself on his Snapchat, relaxing in bed whilst feeding his adorable daughter.
The 23-year-old singer had not been nominated for this year’s MTV MAMA awards most likely because of his brief ‘hiatus’ from the music scene for some months. However, the Gbagbe Oshi singer refused to let the snub weigh him down and even admitted that he didn’t deserve any award this year.
He also assured his fans that next year will be very different.
So instead of brooding at home, Davido decided to spend some quality time with his daughter. Recall the singer has been in and out of Nigeria in the past few months, working hard on his EP, Son of Mercy which dropped last week.
Even though Davido missed out on the chance to bag the MAMA’s Best Male Act this year, an award which he won consecutively in the last two editions of the show; we have high hopes for him in 2017.
This year’s Best Male Act was awarded to Wizkid.
