Wizkid has picked up his first award at the 2016 MAMAs in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The ‘Ojuelegba’ singer won the award for Best Male Act, ahead of compatriot Patoranking, South Africans acts AKA and Black Coffee, as well as Diamond Platnumz from Tanzania.
‘My people let me hear you say YEAH YEAH,’ Wizkid said as he grabbed the mic.
He added: ‘I wanna say a big thank you my fans and team’.
Other Nigerians who have won the Best Male Act award in the past include, D’banj (2008), 2face Idibia (2010), and Davido (2014 and 2015).
